HAMPTON, MAY 5, 1966.
Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date, all Members present, Reeve Blanchard presiding.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that Resolution
'66-4c-3' be amended by deleting "April 26 and 27" therefrom, and that
the minutes of the meetings held April 21 and 29, 1966, be adopted as
read and amended.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs
accounts for the month of April 1966, in the amount of $
as approved by the Road Committee, be paid.
Moved by DeputJ Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the Clerk
is instructed to contact the Bowmanville Public Utilities Commission with
the request that, if an agreement respecting the Commissions water maia
on Township roads is available, the terms of the agreement be
forwarded, to the Township, otherwise, to inform the Commission that the
Township, in order to speed the building of a bridge on the road between
Lots 4 & 5, Concession 5, would be Willing to agree, without prejudice
to any further negotiations related to the water main, to pay 50 % of the
cost of labour involved in re-locating the main at the location of
the proposed bridge.
Moved by Councillor Budai and Deputy Reeve Muir that Rule 33
be suspended for the duration of this meeting.

part of Lot 14, Concession 8, from Greenbelt to Agricultural was given its

Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Muir that the
Township's Staff and Consultants are hereby authorized to take all
necessary action to expropriate lands required for the improvemen~ of
the C.P.R. crossing at Lots 20 and 21, Concession 1, also for acquiring
extra land from Harold Stevens for the widening of Development Road No.

Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the Reeve
and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an undertaking with T.C. and
G.G.Glaspell, agreeing to erect approximately 15 rods of fence with
gate, in return for land required to widen the forced road in Lot 18,
Concession 5,
Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Muir that Douglas
White and Ralph Ballard, Hampton, be informed that their requests for street
improvemenj cannot be entertained at this time.
