HAMPTON, June 16, 1966.
Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date, all Members present, Reeve Blanchard presiding.
Moved by Councillors Budai and Gibbs that the minutes of the
meeting held June 2, 1966, be adopted as read.
Moved by Councillors Down and Budai that accounts for the
month of May, 1966, as listed herewith be paid:

Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the
Bowmanville Public Utilities Commission be informed that because the
proposal'to move only that part of its water main that is in the
immediate area of the Bridge, would not in any way solve the greater
problem of responsibility for maintenance and upkeep of the main, this
Council has decided to defer the construction of the bridge until 1967,
and in the meantime to ask for a ruling of the Ontario Municipal Board
to decide the matter.
Moved by Councillor Budai and Deputy Reeve Muir that C.L.
Warren, Building Inspector be authorized to attend the Ontario Building
Officials Conference in Brantford in October 1966.
Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Down that the second monthly
meetings of Council in July and August be held at 7.30 P.M.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that Mr.
D.Edwards, Department of Transport be asked to attend a meeting of
Council in the near future.
Moved by Councillors Down and Gibbs that grants be made to
Oshawa, Blackstock and Orono Fairs in the amount as in 1965.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the
Department of Highways be requested to approve the transfer of the sum
of $13,500.00 from Werry Bridge to Rob Roy Bridge, in the 1966 Bridge
appropriation.
Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Muir Jhat the
Township's Engineering Consultants are hereby instructed to prepare a
paving contract for Developmen? Road # 706, and to take such action as may
be necessary in the matter. (
Moved by Councillors Down and Budai that E.R.Lovekin, Solicitor
for this Township, is instructed to prepare a presentation to the Ontar1€v'
Municipal Board, with the Solicitor for the Bowmanville Public Utilities
Commission, for the purpose of determining the responsibility for
Maintenance, repair, relocation or any other costs in connection with the
Commission's water main on Township road allowances.

Moved by Councillor Budai and Deputy Reeve Muir that the
Clerk is instructed to prepare a By-law to release sub-division 668
from the terms of Agreement No. N 2~013.
Moved by Councillor Down and Deputy Reeve Muir that W.E.Rundle
and C.L.Warren be nominated for a Technical Advisory Committee of the
Central Ontario Joint Planning Board.
Moved by Councillors Down and Budai that this Council hereby
adopts the recommendation of the Co-ordinating Committee on a Road
Needs Study, and that the proposal of Totten, Sims, Hubickl and
Associates Limited, submitted under date May 12,1966, is accepted./
Moved by Councillors Budai and Gibbs that this meeting
