HAMPTON, JULY 7, 1966.
Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building
on this date. All Members present except Reeve Blanchard, who was
absent due to illness, Deputy Reeve Muir presiding.
Moved by Councillors Down and Budai that the minutes of the
meeting held June 16, 1966, be approved as read.
Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Down that Road Accounts for the
month of June, 1966, in the amount of $:;1,60:;.97, as approved by the
Road Committee, be paid.
Moved by Councillors Down and Budai that the Clerk is
directed to prepare a by-law to re-zone part of the lands of Joseph
Wichman, Part lot 17, Con. 4-, from Green Belt to Agricultural, and to
advise Mr. Wichman that he should deposit $100.00 to cover the costs of
re-zoning.
Moved by Councillors Down and Gibbs that Mr. Dallas and
Mr. Muir, or his appointee, be authorized to attend the Convention of the
Ontario Municipal Association in Hamilton, August 21-24.
Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Down that Rule 33 be suspended
for the duration of this meeting.
On motions as filed a by-law to provide for the issue of
debentures for Public School purposes in the amount of $ 4:;0,000.00
was given its several readings, signed, sealed and numbered 2332.
On motions as filed a by-law to provide for expropriation
of lands in Lots 20 & 21, Con. 1, for grade crossing improvement, was
given its several readings, signed, sealed and numbered 2333.
On motions as filed a by-law to authorize an agreement with
W. Parrinder and H. Parrinder was given its several readings and signed,
sealed and numbered 2334.
On motions as filed a bY-law ~o release an agreement with
E. Hockaday, was given its several readings and signed, sealed and
numbered 233:;.
Mobed by Councillors Budai and Down that the
instructed to inform George Feddema that he is expected
$100.00 to cover costs of re-zoning.
Moved by Councillors Budai
authorized to order 12 copies of the
Ontario book.
Moved by Councillors Budai and Down that Albert Crawford
be informed that he does not have authority to hire extra help or
machihery without the approval of the Property Committee.
