HAMPTON, AUGUST 4, 1966.

Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date, all Members present, Reeve Blanchard presiding.
Moved by Councillors Budai and Gibbs that the minutes of the
meeting held July 21, 1966, be adopted as read.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that Road Accounts
in the amount of $ 134,959.65, as approved by the Road Committee, be paid.
Moved by Councillors Budai and Down that tenKers for paving
(Contract 706-2) be received and opened.

Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the
Consulting Engineer and Mr. Calligh~n analyse the tenders and report
back to this meeting.
Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Muir that fees paid
to Livest~ck Valuers be increased to $ 5.00 per call plus $ .10 per Mile.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the
Tender on Contract 706-2, submitted by Dufferin Paving and Materials
Limited, is disqualified because of having qualified the tender as to
completion date, and that the tender of W.B.Bennett Paving and Material
Limited is accepted at unit prices as tendered, subject to the approval
of the Ontario Department of Highways./
Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Muir that Contract
D R 706-1 is hereby accepted as completed, subject to the completion of
some fencing items to the satisfaction of the Consulting Engineer./
Moved by Councillors Down and Budai that tender cheques
submitted with tenders on Contract 65-29 be returned to the bidders with
a letter of explanation.
Moved by Councillors Budai and Down that, for drawing water to
fires in the Township, Clifford Pethick be paid $4.00 per hour if no
water is used, $8.00 per load if water is used, plus $200.00 per year
stand-by time.
Moved by Councillor Budai and Deputy Reeve Muir that the Clerk
is instru4fd to ask the Ontario Municipal Board to withdraw the
Township's application for approval of By-law 2330.
Moved by Councillor Budai and Deputy Reeve Muir that Rule 33 be
suspended for the duration of this meeting.
