HMI,PTON, SEPTEMBER 15, 1966.
Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date, all Members present, Reeve Blanchard presiding.
Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Budai that the minutes of the
meetings held September 1, and September 7,1966, be adopted as read.
Moved by Councillors Budai and Gibbs that a Resolution of the
Town of Thorold, forwarded by thei~Jl?1 and dealing with a request to
the Provincial Government to increase its grants for education to at
least 80 'to, is endorsed by this Council and that the Member for this
constuency be urged to support legislation to a~complish this purpose.
Moved by Councillors Down and Gibbs that an agreement to
be prepared for use, by the Township, of part of Lot 22, Con. 3, shall
provide that-
1. The Township shall prepare a description of the land.
2. The Township shall arrange to burn as much material as
possible, and cover the remainder when necessary.
3. Shall provide supervision and regulate the use of the
property by the public.
4. The agreement shall be for a term of 5 years, at $250.00
per year, renewable by the Township on 4 months notice,
the owner to have one month to refuse such renewal .
5. That the Township shall agree that when abandoned, the
site shall be left in as reasonably well levelled
condition as possible.
Moved by Councillors Budai and Down that resolution No.
66-7B-2, passed July 21, 1966, be and is hereby amended by changing the
General Account total, $14,357.16 to $ 14,377.16, to correct an error in
addition.

Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the
Township Solicitor be instructed to prepare the necessary documents to
close and convey road allowances in the Broken Front through the
property now owned by St. Mary's Cement Co., according to the terms of
an agreement between the Township and the Company dated January 25, 1966.
Moved by Councillors Down and Budai that the Reeve and Clerk
are hereby authorized to execute a non-waiver agreement as requested
by Thom~son Rogers, Solicitors for the Township's Insurers.

Road Superintendent be authorized to purchase up to 4 Junior traffic
Counters.
