HomeMy WebLinkAbout08/30/1973 MINUTES OF JOINT MEETING OF COUNCIL AND PLANNING BOARD - Aug. 30/73 Meeting was held in the Centennial Room of the Cororounity Hall at 7 p.m. . Present were: Council - Reeve Alfred Gray, Councilbrs Keith Barr, Fred Couch, Frank Hoar, R. B. Rickard. Planning Board - Chairman Roger Yates Members - Murray Paterson, Del Moore, D. J. Cunningham. Newcastle P.U.C. Manager Everett Jenkins. Kilbourn Engineering John Thiel, Jock Milne. (Planner) The Chairman for the meeting, Reeve Gray stated that the purpose of the meeting was to interview Developpers in the Village of Newcastle to ascertain their interest in contributing to the future water supp~y for the Village. Moved by Murray Paterson, Seconded by Del Moore that each Developper be interviewed privately and that all others be asked to leave the room until called. Carried. . Those interviewed were as follows: Durham Estates - represented by Mr. Milani, President of Milani & Milani - and Mr. McComiskey his legal representative. - approx. ~OO lots High City Holdings - represented by Mr. Max Sherman, Mr. H. Konopny and Mr. Peter Knapp of Municipal Consultants Ltd. approx. 500 lots. Mr. Stan Gujda and Mr. Tom Huzar - 3 separate plans with 65 lots total. Jack Jacobsen Construction Limited - represented by Mr. Jacobsen - and Mr. D. Plitz - Phase 1 - 45 estate lots. Bowroanville Construction - represented by Mr. John DeJong, Mr. Evert - Vierhout and Mr. E. R. Lovekin, Legal Rep. - approx. 40 lots. Go~ds13in Investments Ltd. and Penicka Enterprises Ltd. - - represen~d by Mr. H. Goldstein and Mr. DeMacio. - approximately 140 - 150 lots. . Mr. John DeWith - 28 lots. WILSWAR Ltd. - represented by Mr. Wilson - 150 lots Square 100 Ltd. - represented by Mr. Donald Kerr and Mr. C. Marlowe - legal representative - 486 lots. Following the interviews, the meeting was again opened to the Public and considerable discussion ensued. Moved by R. B. Rickard, seconded by Frank Hoar that the meeting adjourn.
