MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING APRIL 18. 1973.
Meeting was held in ~;e Municipal Office at 7 P.M.

Present were: Reeve Gray, Councillors Barr, Couch, Hoar and Rickard.
Res. 357 Moved by Councillor Couch, seconded by Councillor Hoar that
Council approve Res. #66 of the Planning Board"that the Newcastle Planning
Board recommend to Village Council that they approve, subject to receipt
by Village Councilof the necessary doclli~ents from Mr. Lake before final
approval, his request for two Lot separations as follows: (a) Lot size
75' x 99' - S/W corner James and Beaver streets and (b) Lot size 71'
x 99' - adjoining Lot under (a) above on the West." provided Mr. Lake
pays 100% of the cost of connecting these lots to the sewer system.
Carried.
Res. 358 Moved by Councillor Rickard seconded by Councillor Hoar that
Council approve the letcer to Property Owners re installations to vacant
lots. Carried.
Res. 359 Moved by Councillor Barr, seconded by Councillor Hoar that the
Clerk send a letter to the Hon. John White, with copies to Hon. Wm. Davis
and Alex Carruthers, M.P.P. Durham, strongly protesting the imposition of
the 7% energy tax. Carried.

The 1973 Budget was presented and discussed.
Res. 360 Moved by Councillor Hoar, seconded by Councillor Rickard
that the meeting adjourn. Carried.
