MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING - MARCH 19. 1973.
Meeting was held in rohe Municipal Office at 7:30 p.m.

Present were Reeve Gray, Councillors Barr, Couch, Hoar and Rickard.
Moved by Councillor Couch, seoonded by Councillor Rickard that the
Council of the Village of Newcastle does not support the United Counties
Proposal for Regional Government prepared by Derek Little of Municipal
Plarming Consultants Limited. Carried.
A recorded vote was taken: Reeve Gray - yes to the motion.
Councillor Hoar - yes- to the motion.
Councillor Rickard - yes. to the motion.
Councillor Couch - yes
CouJlcillor Barr - abstained from voting.

Moved by Councillor Hoar, Seconded by Councillor Barr that the Clerk
be authorized to attend a meeting of Regional Clerks on March 26, 1973.
Carried.

Moved by Councillor Couch, seconded by Councillor Hoar that the meeting
adjourn. Carried.
