MINUTES OF SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING - JANUARY 31. 1973.
Meeting was held in the Municipal Office at 7:30 _p.m.
Present were: Reeve Alfred Gray, Councillors Keith Barr, Fred Couch
Frank Hoar and R. B. Rickard.
Moved by Councillor Couch, seconded by Councillor Barr
that the petition for subsidy on Road expenditures of $28,702.36 for
1972 be authorized. Carried.
Res. 289 Moved by Councillor Hoar, seconded by Councillor Barr that By-law 73-2
being a by-law to authorize borrowing until the taxes are collected, be
read a first time. Carried

Moved by Councillor Couch, seconded by Councillor Rickard that By-law
73-2 be read a second time. Carried.
Moved by CounciTIor Barr, seconded by Councillor Hoar that By-law 73-2
be read a third time and finally passed. Carried.
Moved by Councillor Hoar, seconded by Councillor Rickard that part time
office help be hired at a minimum of $2.25 per hour. Carried.
Moved by Councillor Hoar, seconded by Councillor Couch that
Farncomb LeGresley be appointed to the Library Board. Carried.
Moved by Councillor Couch, seconded by Councillor Barr that the
endowment funds formerly held by the Incorporated Synod of the Diocese
of Toronto re the Bond Head Cemetery, be invested with Canada Permanent
Trust Company in Toronto. Carried.
Moved by Councillor IQc~ard, seconded by Councillor Barr that the
Clerk register properties for arrears of taxes. Carried.
Moved by Councillor Couch, seconded by Councillor Barr that the
Council approve the deed from the Village to the Ministryof the Environment
re the Pumping Station Site in part of Block A. Plan 656, Part 1 of Plan
10~123. Carried.
A discussion concerning Regional Govt. East of Toronto, took place.
Moved by Councillor Couch, seconded by Councillor Barr that the
meeting adjourn. Carried.
