MINUT~~ OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL - December 15th, 1972
Meeting was held in the Municipal Office at 12.00p.m.
Present were: Reeve Alfred Gray, Councillers K. Barr, F. Couch,
F. Hoar and R. B. Rickard.
Res. 252 Moved by Councillor Hoar, Seconded by Councillor Barr
that Harnden & King's quotation of June 5th, 1972 for priming
and surfacing Village roads be accepted. Carried.
Res. 253 Moved by Councillor Hoar, Seconded by Councillor Barr
that Marjorie Pascoe be granted permission to sep~rate 99~ by
76' from lets 59 and 25, Mill and Robert Streets In the Vlllage
of Newcastle, subject to the approval of the Ministry of Treasury,
Economics and Intergovernmental Affairs." Carried.
Res. 254 Moved by Councillor Couch, Seconded by Councillor Rickard
that Seldon Parker be granted permission to separate a parcel of
land 171.83 feet by 288.81 feet fronting on King Street West
from Part of township lot 29~ Concession 2 in the Village of
Newcastle, subject to the approval of the Ministry of Treasury,
Economics and Intergovernmental Affairs." Carried.
Res. 255 Moved by Councillor Hoar, Seconded by Councillor Rickard
that Newton Selby be granted permission to separate that portion
of Lot 29 owned by him and lying south of the Canadian National
Railway Right-of-Way and north of the unopened road allowance
between Concession 1 and Broken Front Concession in the Village of
NeWCastle, subject to the approval of the Ministry of Treasury,
Economics and Intergovernmental Affairs." Carried.
Res. 256 Moved by Councillor Couch, Seconded by Councillor Barr that
Windsweep Farms (1965) Limited ~e granted permission to separate
a parcel of land composed of the following parts:
(A) All of Lot 29 lying south of the unopened road allowance between
Concession 1 and the Broken Front Concession down to and including
the shoreline butting on Lake Ontario with the eEception of any and
all land options and easements to or required by the Ministry of the
Environment.
(B) Approximately 30 acres of land being the easterly half of Lot 30
bordered on the North by the unopened road allowance between Concession
1 and the Broken Front Concession and on the South by the shoreline
of Lake Ontario save and except any and all land options and easements
to or required by the Ministry of the Environment.
(C) That portion of Lot 28, referred to as the Upper Marsh and lying
east of the road allowance between Lots 28 and 29 and west of Graham's
C~eek and being approximately the north half of the lands owned by the
Wlndsweep Farms (1965) limited in the Broken Front Concession.
It is understood that all land descriptions herein were demonstrated
to Council on an amended Plan RO #31 dated March 6th, 1970 prepared
by M. D. Brown, O.L.S. and deposited by Eric Richard Lovekin, Solicitor
in the West Durham Hegistry Office." Carried.
Res.257 Moved by Councillor Couch, Seconded by Councillor Barr that
the meeting adjourn. Carried.
