MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL - October 17. 1972
Meeting was held in the Council Chambers at 7.30 p.m.
.
Present were: Reeve Alfred Gray, Councillors Fred Couch, Frank Hoar,
Keith Barr and Brenton Rickard.
Douglas J. Barber and Mervyn B. Kelly, Solicitors met with Council
at Council's request to review the municipality's requirements for
legal assistance.
Res. 228 Moved by Councillor Hoar, Seconded by Councillor Barr
that the firm of Barber & Kel~y be instructed to act for the Village
in any legal transactions required by the municipality to December 31,
197J. Carried.
Res. 229 Moved by Councillor Hoar, Seconded by Councillor Couch
that the Firemen be requested to patrol the Village on Halloween
Night, October 31st. Carried.
Council discussed the adviseability of rev~s~ng the building permit
fees and the Clerk was instructed to draft a by-law to amend the
Building By-Law in this regard for Council's consideration at the
next meeting.

Res. 230 Moved by Councillor Couch, Seconded by Councillor Hoar that
the meeting adjourn. Carried.
