MINUTEW OF SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL - May 16, 1972
Meeting was held in the Council Chambers at 7 p.m.
Present were: Reeve Alfred Gray, Councillors Fred Couch,
Frank Hoar, Keith Barr and Brenton Rickard.
Michael Latta and Gulu Uppal, Project Engineers with Ontario
Water Resources met with Council to discuss the progress of
the Proposed Sewage System. Mr. Latta informed Council that
the approximate fime for calling tenders would be early in
July, with construction anticipated to begin in late August
or early September this year.
Moved by Councillor Hoar, Seconded by Councillor Rickard that
Council have examined the final plans of the proposed Sewage
Works System and that certain plans shown described as North
Street and Allen Lane and whereas Schedule A to By-Law 69-15
passed by Council on September 29th, 1969 designates that
these portions of the Sewage system are on Baldwin Street
and George Street respectively, and whereas the portion of
the street north of King Street is known as either Baldwin
Street or North Street, and similarly that portion west of
North Street is known as either Allen Lane or George Street.
Therefore, be it resolved that lands designated in Sched1ue A
to by-law 69-15 is the correct and proper description of said
lands and that no amendment to by-law 69-15 is re~uired in
regard to the designation of these two particular streets.
Carried.
Moved by Councillor Couch, Seconded by Councillor Barr that
the meeting adjourn. Carried.
