MINUTES OF SPE~IAL MEETING OF COUNCIL - Maroh 28. 197~
Meeting was held in the Municipal Office at 7.JO p.m.
Present were: Reeve Alfred Gray, Councillors Frank Hoar, Fred Couch,
Keith Barr and Brenton Rickard.

The newly appeinted Building Inspeetor, Mervin Allison, met with Council
to discuss his duties as building inspector and to review the by-laws
relating to the issuing of building permits. Council requested that
Mr. Allison submit a monthly report to Council. This was agreed to.

Moved by Councillor Rickard, Seconded by Counciller Barr that
Bell Canada be advised to proceed with the house numbering
projeot, and that the Lions Club be contacted with regard to
providing the house numbers for sale and attaohing same to
each dwelling. Carried.
Moved by Councillor Hoar, Seconded by Councillor Barr that
E. R. Lovekin be requested to act for the Village iij the
transaction of the purohase and exchange of land re Bell Canada.
Carried.

Moved by Councillor Rickard, Seconded by Councillor Couch that
the Clerk write te The Toronto Star to inquire if they still
supply the service of providing street signs to municipalities.
Carried.
Moved by Counoillor Couch, Seconded by Counciller Hoar that the
Clerk write te Mr. Pye of the Canadian National Railways request-
ing a meeting with representatives of their Engineering Department
as to the necessary read construotion -- 1. if signal lights
were installed at the orossing on Metoalfe Street. Carried.
Moved by Counciller Barr, Seoonded by Counciller Hoar that the
Cle~k and Assistant Clerk's salaries b, increased to $5500.00
and $J64~.00 respectively, each to work a maximum of four-days
weekly. Carried.
Moved by Councillor Couch, Seconded by Councillor Rickard that
the MuniCipal Office be open for business five days weekly.
Carried.
Moved by Councillor Rickard, Seconded by Councillor Couch that
the meeting adjourn. Carried.
