HIEUTES OF SPECIAL COUNCIL HEETING - FEBRUARY 21, 1972.
Meeting was held in the Council Chamber at 7:30 p.m
Mrs. G. Gray was the acting Clerk in the absence of Mrs. J. McCullough
.
Present were Reeve Alfred Gray, Councillors Keith Barr, Fred Couch, Frank
Hoar and R. B. Rickard.
Res. 54.
Moved by Councillor Rickard, seconded by Councillor Couch that Clerk
write to the Vestry Clerk of St. Georges Anglican Church and Mr. Murray
Paterson, Secretary-Treasurer of the Bond Head Cemetery Board suggesting
a meeting of all concerned regarding the taking over of Bond Head Cemetery
by the Village of Newcastle. The suggested date of the meeting was Marcn 6,
at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber. Carried.

Moved by Councillor Couch, seconded by CoaIlcillor Barr that the following
be invited to attend a meeting re Planning for the Village of Newcastle,
Murray Paterson, Gordon C. Culham, Roger Yates and E. R. lovekin., the
meeting to be held on March 6, 1972 at 8 p.m. in the Councill Chamber,
and requesting a reply by February 29th, regarding their willingness to
attend. Carried.
Res. 56
Moved by Councillor Rickard, seconded by Councillor Couch that the Clerk
or Acting Clerk be paid $5.00 for Special meetings. Carried.

Clerk was instructed to submit plan of survey and legal descriptions to
Bell Canada re the exchange of properties between the Village and Bell
Canada.
Municipal Garbage Collection was discussedand the Clerk was instructed
to check with other municipalities OL procerrJres for billing etc.

Moved by Councillor Couch, seconded by Councillor Hoar that the meeting
adjourn.
