MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF ;COUNCIL - MARCH 27th, 1971
. Meeting was held in the Council Chambers at 8 p.m.
Present were: Reeve D. J. Cunningham, Gouncillors Frank Hoar, Fred Couch,
Alfred Gray and Margaret Brereton, also Mr. Roger Truemner of
Triton Planning Associates Limited.
Res. 324 Moved by Councillor Brereton, Seconded by Councillor Hoar that Triton Planning
Associates Limited draft a holding by-law for the Council of the Village of
Newcastle to place interim land-use control on a part of the municipality, and
provide assistance in carrying out the rules of procedure required by the
Ontario Municipal Board in connection with the approval of this By-Law, Carried.

Moved by Councillor Gray, Seconded by Councillor Brereton that By-Law 71-10
being a by-law to place 'interim land-use control on a part of the municipality
be read a first time. Garried.
Res. 326
Moved by Gouncillor Hoar, Seconded by Councillor Couch that By-La'l 71-10
be read a second 'time. Carried.

Moved by Councillor Couch, Seconded by Councillor Brereton that By-Law 71-10
be read a third time and 'finally passed. Carried.
The Clerk was instructed to reply to the letters from Banksia Investments Limited
and E. Richard Lovekin notifying them of the passing of the holding by-law.

Moved by Councillor Couch, Seconded by Councillor Gray that Triton Planning
Associates Limited be engaged as Planning Gonsultants as per the proposal presented
by Mr. Roger Truemner in a letter dated March 26th, 1971, file number 71-50.
Carried.

Moved by Councillor Couch, Seconded by Councillor Hoar that the meeting adjourn.
Carried.
