SUBJECT: Paid Holidays (Remembrance Day)
As Remembrance Day is a paid holiday in accordance with the Union Contracts
and falls on a Saturday, the Union Contract provides that it shall be observed
on the preceding Friday or Monday following the holiday at the discretion
of the Corporation.
As the Municipal election will be held on November 13th, 1978 we would
recommend that all Union Staff and Non -Union Staff with the exception
of the following be given November 10th, 1978 as the lieu day:
J. McIlroy
G. Gray
L. Fice
S. Collins
L. Simpson
The aforementioned employees shall be granted a day in lieu of their choice
as they will be required to assist Mr. McIlroy with the Municipal Elections.
