SUBJECT: Municipal Planning Consultants
Account for Preparation of Draft 'Zoning By -Law
As requested I have reviewed the terms of reference contained in the
letter from Municipal Planning Consultants to the Planning Administration
Committee dated June 15th, 1977, (copy attached).
In April of this year we reviewed the contents of the draft zoning by-law
with Mr. Best the former secretary of the Planning Committee and found the
by-law was drawn in accordance with the terms of reference with the
exception of some minor points. Although staff and Council have not
completed the review of the draft document, I must advise Committee that
the consultant has completed his assignment in accordance with the
terms of reference prepared by Council.
You will also note that on Page 2 of the attached letter that the
consultant states that his estimate does not include revisions to the
draft document, attendance at additional meetings, printing or circulating
F the by-law or attendance at Ontario Municipal Board Hearings.
T I would respectfully recommend that the account of Municipal Planning
Consultants be paid and the balance of the work required to complete the
by-law be turned over to the Planning Director to be completed in-house
this year.
