Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. That Report ADMIN. 3-96 be received for information.
REPORT:
At the Council meeting of February 12, 1996, staf f was requested to
report on the interior renovations that are being carried out at
the Orono Armouries as a result of a lease agreement that was
recently approved by Council.
The lease agreement covered a long term lease of the Orono
Armouries to 760719 Ontario Limited/Apogee Productions.
The terms of the agreement are that the, Municipality, through the
Property Management division, will be responsible for the building
envelope and heating equipment. Apogee Productions would carry out
some tenant improvements within the structure, at their cost, under
the watchful eye of the Property Management division.
To date, Apogee Productions has commenced to do some minor
renovations within the building and we have been advised by the
Property Management division that these said renovations are in
keeping with both the lease agreement and the Building Department
of the Municipality. The Municipality is not participating in the
cost of the renovations.
The foregoing is for the information of Council.
