MINUTES - SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING - July 29. 1968.
Meeting held in Municipal Office
Present; Reeve Cunningham, Councillors Gray, Hoar and Walton.
Mr. R. McLellan, Cowan Insurance, addressed Council to
review Village Insurance.
Moved by Councillor Hoar, Seconded by Councillor Gray
that Insurance be increased as follows:
1. Councillors' Accident Insurance be doubled.
2. Non-owned automobile, liability Insurance be increased
from $500,000. to $1,000,000.
J. The $6,000. Surety Bond on the Clerk-Treasurer be
cancelled and replaced by a $10,000. blanket Bond.
4. Insurance on the Community Hall be increased from
$150,000. to $200,000.
5. lire Insurance Premiums be placed on an annual
instalment basis.
Carried.
Moved by Con. Walton, Seconded by Con. Gray
that the Clerk write H. C. Bonathan pointing out that
he stated in the Council Chamber to the Councillors that
he would pay the business tax on the wooil"dworking Factory
on the North side of King St. when he had sold the
building and ask him what his intentions are now.
Carried.
Moved by Con. Hoar, Seconded by Con. Gray
that $1,000. be paid to the Recreation Committee as shown
in the Budget.
Carried.
Moved by Con. Gray Seconded by Con. Hoar
that the meeting adjourn.
