Moved by Con. Couch, Seconded by Con. Hoar that the minutes of meetings March 11, 19 and April 1, be adopted as printed. Carried. Walton that the Reeve appoint delegates to attend a hearing of the Clarke Committee of Adjustment regarding the separation of land of Alexander J. Paterson, R. R. ff 2, Newcastle, after investigating the matter. Carried. (Land referred to is in Clarke Township adjacent to Newcastle) Moved by Con. Walton, Seconded by Con. Hoar that the Clerk contact Mr. Murray of Woodland Products regarding the connection to the water main for the sprinkler system and arrange that an agreement be drawn up between the Contractor and Woodland and the Village, under which the Contactor and Woodland undertake to repair the damage done to the road and indemnify the Village for any loss incurred by the Village as a result of this work and that the connection to the Village water main be made under the supervision of the Newcastle P.U.C. The parties, Woodland and the Contractor, are to pay for P.U.C. Supervision and legal costs of the agreement. Carried. The statement of tax arrears submitted by the Clerk was discussed and he was advised to make collections. Mtived by Con. Hoar, Seconded by Con. Gray that the Fire Deparlment report be adopted. Carried. Moved by Con. Couch, Seconded by Con. Gray that leave be granted to introduce By-law 68-4 tor Supplementary Road expenditures on maintenance amounting to $4,000 and that it be read a first time. Carried. . . . ~..
