MINUTES SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING - August I, 1967
Meeting held in Municipal Office at 8 p.m.
Present: Reeve Walton, Councillors Adams, Foshay
Gray and Nesbitt.
Moved by Con. Foshay, Seconded by Con. Adams
that leave be granted to introduce by-law 67-16
being a by-law to amend by-law # 799 by eliminating
the retroactive clause and that it be read a first
time. Carried.
Moved by Con. Gray, Seconded by Con. Foshay
that by-law 67-16 be read a second time.
Carried.
Moved by Con. Adams, Seconded by Con. Nesbitt
that by-law 67-16 be read a third time and finally
passed. Carried.
The letter from the Pastor of the Baptist Church was
referred to the Hall Board.
Moved by Con. Foshay, Seconded by Con. Adams
that authority be given to any Councillors, the Clerk,
and the Secretary to attend the Municipal Affairs Workshop
to be held in Cobourg on Sept. 27 and 28, 1967. Carried.
Copies of O.W.R.C. letter, dated July 27th regarding
Swwage Project to be sent to Reeve and Councillors.
Moved by Con. Fo shay , Seconded by Con. Nesbitt
that we request the Ontario Water Resources Commission to
undertake the engineering study of the Waterworks Extension
south of Highway 401 and the C.N. Railway and that the
study be paid for from the Reserve Fund held by the O.W.R.C.
Carried.
Moved by Con. Adams, Seconded by Con. Xesbitt
that Council appoint ~~s. Judith ~liklo8 to the Durham
County District High School Board effective on Mr.
James Wright's resignation, September 1st. Carried.
Moved by Con. Gray, seconded by Con. Foshay
that the meeting adjourn.
