Best Planning Consultant - Derek Little Planning Consultant - John Farrow Township Solicitor - Allan Strike Chairman Planning Board - S. Lancaster Also Present, approximately 12 other persons. Reeve Woodyard called the meeting to order at 10':25 a.m. He stated that this meeting had been called to discuss certain rezoning applications currently before Council and their relationship to the O'fficial Plan as adopted by Council on September 19, 1973. Mr. Little and Mr. Farrow, Planning Consultants, were requested to subw.it their comments. Mr. Farrow briefly outlined the procedure to be adopted when revisions were deemed necessary to the O'fficial Plan. All changes to~e O'fficial Plan should be by way of amendments. These were first considered by Planning Board, presented to the public through public meetings, and recommended to Council. Mr. Little advised that the O'fficial Plan, as adopted by Council, be submitted to the Minister for approval. In the meantime, Planning Page 2. Special Meeting of Council. October 30, 1973. Heykoop, that the Official Plan as adopted by Council be forwarded to the Minister for approval together with an appended letter signed by the Reeve advising the Minister that the following anplications are under consideration and they may or may not result in amendments to the Official Plan. Reeve Woodyard requested a 20 minute recess to consult with the Planning Consultants and Township Solicitor. Moved by K. Entwisle, seconded by G. Heykoop, that meeting recess for ~ 20 minutes. Carried. ~ Meeting recessed at 11:05 a.m. Meeting reconvened at 11:)0 a.m. Deputy Reeve Entwisle requested a recorded vote on his previous motion. Councillor Reid Nay Deputy Reeve Entwisle Yea Councillor Chater Nay Councillor Heykoop Yea Reeve Woodyard Nay Motion did not carry. Moved by K. Entwisle, seconded by G. Heykoop, that the Official Plan be submitted forthwith to the Minister. Reeve Woodyard re~lested a recorded vote. Councillor Reid Nay Deputy Reeve Entwisle Yea Councillor Chater Nay Councillor Heykoon Yea Reeve Woodyard Nay Motion did not carry. Moved by C. Reid, seconded by R. Chater, th3t this Council, through their Planning Consultants and Solicitor begin negotiations with Mr. Howard Payne re Durham Retirement Home Park and with Rice Constructi.on Co. Ltd. re Pine Ridge Retirement Home Park and further that the Planning Consultants and Solicitor submit progress renorts to Counci.l. Deputy Reeve Entwisle requested a recorded vote.
