Special meeting of Council was called by the Reeve to
consider the following business:'
The following correspondence was ~ead out by the Reeve:
1. Page and Kamin re Mosport Park Limited and By-Law permitting
motor racing on Sundays during the current year.-Referred
to Clerk.
Mr. M. L. Ross, Road Superintendent appeared at Council to
discuss certain matters pertaining to the Road ~epartment.
The following resolutions were passed:

This Council accept the annual petition for Subsidy under
the Provisions of the PubliC Transportation and Highway Improvement
Act on Expenditures made during the year 1971. Carried.
Resolution No. lQ:Moved by E. C. Copping, seconded'byJ;A.Gray:
That Council of the Corporation of the Township of Clarke
hereby endorse resolution No. 72-1 of the Police Trustees of the
Village of Orono passed on the 19th of January, 1972, ~egarding the
O.W.R.C. project of the-second water project. Res. No. 72-1 reads as
follows: Whereas it is proposed to enter into an Agreement with the
Ontario Water Resources Commission Project Number-6-0Z23-:-71.
Be it therefo~e resolved:
That:
Council shall, before commencement of the operation of the
said water works project, impose rates pursuant to Section 27 (1)
of thE! Public -Utilities Act and Section 56 (5) of The Ontario Water
Resources Commission Act, upon all users of the Police Village of
OronoWate~ Works System for a period of thirty years commencing
in 1972, in the following manner:
(a) The domestic user rate of $28.00 per annum shall be
increased by $26.00-to $54.00 per annum.
(b) The outside of Village domestic user rate of $56.00 per
annum shall be increased by $26.00 to $82.00 per annum.
(c) The commercial user rate of $35.00 per annum shall be
increased by $30.00 to $65.00 per annum.
(d) And furthe~ any revenues received, as a result of any
future development within or adjoining lands to Orono
Police Village, the funds be used to decrease the annual
consumption users rate. Such revision to the annual
rate be made at the end of each year after the lump sum
revenues have been received.
We, the T ustees, would therefore ask the Council of the
Township of Clhrke to execute-the necessary documents so that the
30 year Debenture may be processed and forwarded to the necessary
government gepartments for their approval at the earliest possible
date. _Carried.
