Mr. J. Hayman, Area Fire Chief
Mrs. G. Gray, Deputy Clerk

Moved by Councillor Prout, seconded by Councillor Woodyard
THAT leave be granted to introduce By-Law 81-44A, being a
by-law to adopt the estimates of all sums required during
the year for municipal purposes and to strike the rates of
taxation for municipal purposes for the year 1981, and
that the said by-law be now read a first time.

THAT the second reading of By-Law 81-44A be approved.

THAT the third and final reading of By-Law 8l-44A be approved.

Moved by Councillor Woodyard, seconded by Councillor Prout
THAT Council give a vote of appreciation to Mr. McIlroy,
the retiring Clerk, for his years of diligent and
faithful service to the Town of Newcastle and also to the
former Town of Bowmanville.
