THAT the Minutes of DecEmber 18 1979 be amended to show that

Miss Madeline Hadley, member of the Orono Town Hall Board
submitted a brief to Council requesting funds in the
aIIDunt of $4,000.00 to canplete renovations on the Town
Hall.
Messrs Sid Cornish, Lloyd Smith and Tom Pleasance
appeared before Council objecting to the passing of
By-Law 80-1, being a by-law to stop up and close and
authorize the conveyance of all that portion of the original
side line road allowance between Lots Six (6) and Seven
(7) in the Eighth Concession of the Geographic Township
of Darlington, former County of Durham, designated as
Parts One (1) and Two (2), on Plan 10Rl021.

The delegation requested that the Town and the Region
get together to endeavour to have Regional Road 14
straightened out using the road allowance which is the
subject of the above mentioned by-law. They wished
the said road allowance be used to straighten out
Regional Road 14 instead of selling it.

THAT the Committee rise.

Mr. Warren Lowes, as spokesman from SEAP and representing
the Port Granby residents, requested that five members of
SEAP be invited to accompany the Council delegation on
January 22 1980 to the Atanic Energy Control Board in
Ottawa.
He indicated that SEAP are very interested and would
have sanething to avail in the discussions.
The delegation v.Duld consist of: D. Humphries,
Isabel Veldhuis, D. Boden, Mrs. Pat Lawson
and W. Lowes.

'!HAT this Council views with deep concern the continuous
desecration of our War Memorials by the thefts of our
National Flag from the Cenotaphs of BomJanville, Orono
and Newtonville and urge the Chief of Police to ensure
that serious attempts are made to bring these culprits
to justice and this insult to the memory of our fallen
cease forthwith.
