HomeMy WebLinkAbout2006-097 THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON BY-LAW 2006-097 being a by-law to declare a portion of a road allowance (former Scugog Street) situated in Lot 14, Concession 2, being part of a traveled road known locally as West Scugog Lane, (formerly Old Scugog Road) (Geographic Township of Darlington) and part of Block 29, Registered Plan 40M-2265 now all in the Municipality of Clarington and further identified as Parts 1-4 on Reference Plan 40R- 23134 to be stopped up and closed and to be declared surplus. Whereas the Council of the Municipality of CIa ring ton at its meeting of April 18, 2006 approved the recommendations in Report EGD-017-06; Whereas the Council of the Municipality of Clarington at its meeting of May 1, 2006 approved the recommendations in Report EGD-025-06; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of CIa ring ton hereby enacts as follows: 1. That a portion of a road allowance (former Scugog Street) situated in Lot 14, Concession 2, being part of a traveled road known locally as West Scugog Lane, (formerly Old Scugog Road) (Geographic Township of Darlington) and part of Block 29, Registered Plan 40M-2265 now all in the Municipality of Clarington and further identified as Parts 1-4 on Reference Plan 40R - 23134 is hereby declared stopped up and closed as a public highway and declared surplus. By-law read a first and second time this 1st day of May 2006 By-law read a third time and finally passed this 1st day of May 2006 CERTIFICATE TO: Barry Maurice Pedwell and Gail Lynne Pedwell RE: The Corporation ofthe Municipality ofClarington (the "Municipality") transfer to of Barry Maurice Pedwell and Gail Lynne Pedwell a portion of an unopened road allowance situated between Lot 26 and 27, Concession 5, former Township of Clarke, now in the Municipality of CIa ring ton, and designated as Part 1 on Plan 40R- 24130 I, C. Anne Greentree, Deputy Clerk of the Municipality, verify that to the best of my knowledge and belief: (a) A procedural by-law (the "Procedural By-law") as required by section 193(2) ofthe Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.25, as amended, was in force in the Municipality at the time a by-law was enacted by the Council of the Municipality declaring the Property surplus and authorizing the sale of the Property; and (b) The measures required for giving notice to the public required by the Procedural By- law have been carried out.
