HomeMy WebLinkAbout10/09/1980 . REPORT II 1 Mayor Rickard and Members of Council:- The following is a report of a meeting of the Planning and Development Committee held on October 9, 19S0: 1. Rezoning Z-A-1-4-4, Z-A-1-4-5, S-P-4 (Preston and Clarke) It was recommended to Council that: '~HEREAS rezoning applications Z-A-1-4-4 and Z-A-1-4-5 may be interpreted as allowing for the consolidation of a commercial node at the intersection of Highway 2 and the road allowance between Lots 20 and 21 in the former Township of Darlington; and WHEREAS the owners of the property subject to rezoning application Z-A-1-4-4 will be entering into a site plan agreement addressing the development of the property including common access with an abutting commercial use, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Town of Newcastle approves the requested rezoning applications and request the Clerk to prepare the necessary by-law for the execution of the site plan agreement with Mr. Preston". (See By-law SO-134) 2. Carnation Flower Shop Development Agreement (Koenderman) . It was recommended to Council that the attached Development Agreement (to Report P-159-S0) be forwarded to Council for approval and execution. 3. O.P.A. So-7/00 - City of Oshawa It was recommended to Council that: 1. Report P-163-S0 be received 2. The Region of Durham be advised that the Town of Newcastle has no objection to proposed Official Plan Amendment SO-7/00 to permit the development of a Local Central Area, at the north-west corner of Highway 2 and Townline Road in Oshawa, not to exceed 6S,000 square feet of gross retail and person service floor spacea 3. The Ontario Municipal Board be advised that the Town of Newcastle withdraws its objection to By-law IS-SO of the City of Oshawa. 4. The City of Oshawa be advised of the Town's action in respect of this matter. 4. Scugog By-law 60-S0 and By-law 9l-S0 of the City of Oshawa It was recommended to Council that Township of Scugog By-law 60-S0 and City of Oshawa By-law 9l-S0 be received for information and filed. . Rezonin~ Z-A-3-l2-8 ( Vanhaverbeke) Village of Newcastle It was recommended to Council that the by-law attached to Report P-166-80 rezoning application Z-A-3-l2-8, part lot 28, Cone. 1, former Township of Clarke, as amended, be forwarded to Council for approval at the next regular meeting. (See By-law 80-135) f 6. Rezonin~ Z-A-1-16-2, part lot 31, Concession 5, Darlin~ton (Balint) It was recommended to Council that the by-law attached to report P-167-80, rezoning Z-A-1-16-2, part lot 31, Concession 5, Darlington, Geraldine Balint, be forwarded to Council for approval at such time as the Town has been notified by the Regional Works Department that their requested road widenings have been received. 7. Metric Conversion By-law - Villa~e of Newcastle It was recommended to Council that the by-law attached to Report P-170-80, metric conversion for the Village of Newcastle Zoning By-law be approved. (See By-law 80-136) ~ 8. Rezoning Z-A-1-6-4 and Subdivision A~rement l8T-77002 (D.R.Roy) . It was recommended to Council that 1. REport P-172-80 be received for information 2. The attached subdivision agreement for the D.R. Agencies Subdivision, ~~~~ended by Resolution #PD-33l-80; be executed by Council' ' 3. The Town Clerk be requested to prepare a by-law for the purpose of authorizing the execution of the agreement as amended, to be presented to the October 20, 1980 meeting of Council. 4. Application for rezoning Number Z-A-1-6-4 be approved. 5. The attached by-law be forwarded to Council for approval (See By-law 80-137) 6. The Region of Durham be advised of Council's action in respect of application for rezoning number Z-A-1-6-4. 9. Minutes of Committee of Adjustment It was recommended to Council that the minutes of the meeting of the Committee of Adjustment, September 24, 1980, be received for information.
