! Tenders were received from Anger Brothers, and A Belko and Son for the construction of

Moved by Dp Rv Carruthers seconded by Cr Preston that the tender of A Belko and Son
be accepted subject to 3000 lb test and Town specifications, being the lowest tender
recel ved. " Car ried "

accepted that a three hour parking limit be enforced on the south side of Q.ueen St
from Temperance to Ontario St and that a "No parking from here to corner " sign be
placed on the south side of Queen St at the corner of Ontario St,oPI'oaite the property
of J.;;r A.T. Fletcher. " Carried"

recommendation in regard to parking ~n the prposed parking lot. ,n Carried
Applications were received for the position of Police constable.

police constable be accepted. " Carried II
Lioved by Cr Preston seconded by Cr HeMer that Mr B.R. Kitney be hired as a part time
constable and that the necessary equipn.ent be purchased. " Carried"
Moved by Cr Hiegon seoonded by Cr Scott that a vacuum cleaner be purchased for use
in the Town Hall. It Carried"
Moved by Or Scott seconded by Or Brough that the Olerk be instructed to find out the
east boundary of tbe Town north of Highway No 2 on King St East. " Carried"
I.'Joved by Cr Preston seconded by Or Higgon that the Clerk be instructed to ascertain
from the Town solicitor if license can be charged for out of town lunch truck. tl

Moved by Or Scott secorded bv Cr Preston that residents of the Base Line east be
notified that corrugated steel culverts must be installed in the ditch opposite their
properties for entrance purposes. " Carried"

Dp Rv Carruthers csked p3rmissi0n to introduce the rOllONing by-laws;
To establish and maintain a system for the collection. removal and disposal of ashes
garbege, and other refuse in the Town of Bownanville.
1'0 amend By-L..w No 1605 and repeal By-I w 1'0 1621
Granted. and r~ad the first time. On trot1on;rule .33 was suspended and Council went into
committee of the whole on second reading, the ),.;ayor in the chair. On committee rising
the Meyor reported the second reading with all blanks filled in. By-Laws were then
read a second and third time, passed and ordered to be signed. and sealed.

be collected by the Public Utilities Commission on the hydro bills. " Carried"
Woved by Or Brough seconded by Or l~est~n that all householders be notified by hand
bills through the mail of the garrege nol1eotion procedure. It Carried 11

the Beaoh I..ssociat10n that all household garrege will be collected by the TONn garrege
truok and that the Bee. ch Asso will have to look after the night soil and otrer refus e.
