presiding. Minutes of' last regular meeting was read and on mo'tion confinned.

Mr J .M. Hughes of J. L. Graham &. Go, Toronto addressed Council in reference to the issue
or $ 150,000.00 Public School debentures and orrering to submit a price ror their
purchase.
Moved by Cr Carruthers seconded by Cr Osborne that the rinance committee be authorized
to investigate and advertise the debentures ror sale and to report back to Council.

Frovincial Government to enact legislation to enable municipalities to pass by-laws to
compel landlords to suppy an ade~uate supply of heat to tenants from Oct 15th to May
15th where heat is supplied by landlords.

sidewalk and south approach to the Elgin st bridge at 5.00 P.M. Tuesday April 6th.

Rv Little asked permission to introduce a by-law to amend traffic by-law No 1542.
Granted and read the first time. On motion rule 33 was suspended and Council want
into committee of the whole on second reading, the Nayor in the chair. On committee
rising the Mayor reported the second reading with all blanks filled in. By-Low was
then read a third tims, pessed and ordered to be signed and sealsd.
