Helen MacDonald, R. R. 1, Newtonville, presented a petition
signed by the residents of Carruthers Road requesting that
this road be renamed to Soper Road. Mrs. MacDonald gave a
brief history of the Sopers who were the earliest settlers
of the area. No Carruthers has ever owned property on
this road. The Carruther's name is not as historically
significant as the Soper name.
Kevin Tunney, Tunney Planning, 117 King St., Box 358, Whitby,
Ontario, L1N 5S4, on behalf of 317980 Ontario Ltd., requested
a slight modification of Item #14 of Attachment #1 to Report

standard" deleted.

Town has an obligation to their taxpayers. He would like
