Rutledge Councillor McKnight led the meeting in prayer Resolution #C-791-87 Moved by Councillor Hamre, seconded by Councillor Hubbard THAT the Minutes of a regular meeting of Council held on Monday, September 28th 1987, be approved as read. "CARR I ED" Marie Black, A. J. Diamond, 2 Berkeley Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5A 2W3, presented two schemes for the site plan and landscape design for the Administrative Centre. Scheme I includes a park and concrete area divided by a flowing line that extends from the building stairs to the street at the south end of the lot. Scheme 2 paves the entire south area and contains a hedged border around the perimeter of the lot. Scheme I would cost $25,000.00; Scheme 2 approximately $35,000.00. Councillor Cowman owns property within 400 feet of the subject lands. "CARRIED" Resolution IC-824-87 Moved by councillor Stapleton, seconded by Councillor Hamre WHEREAS there have been changes in traffic conditions and recent traffic accidents in Newtonville; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Town of Newcastle again requests the Ministry of Transportation to reduce the speed limit throuqh the Hamlet of Newtonville, Highway 2, from 60kmph to 50kmph, and that the concerns of the residents outlined in ( . .
