Council Mintues Motor City Car Club Request By-laws - 5 - June 25, 1984 Resolution #C-454-84 Moved by Councillor Hamre, seconded by Councillor Taylor THAT the recommendations in Report CD-43-84 be endorsed; and 1. That this report be received; and 2. That Council approve the request of the Motor City Car Club for permission to operate a beer garden on the Oshawa Auto Auction Property, during the period July 14 to July 15, 1984, inclusive; and 3. That the Club be prOVided with a letter directed to the Liquor Licensing Board of Ontario, advising that the Council of the Town of Newcastle has no objection to the issuing of a Special Occasion Permit by the Board with respect to this event. Council Mintues - 6 - June 25, 1984 Other Busines Resolution #C-458-84 Ontario Renews Awards Moved by Councillor Hubbard, seconded by Councillor Hobbs WHEREAS The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing is sponsoring a series of awards under the Ontario Renews Program; and WHEREAS the Town of Newcastle has located within its corporate jurisdiction a non-profit housing project named "Forestree Place"; and WHEREAS this project meets and indeed surpasses many of the criteria established under the Ontario Renews Awards Program; THEREFORE be it resolved that the Town of Newcastle sponsor "Forestree Place" as a candidate for an award under the Ontario Renews Program, and that this resolution, together with a letter of endorsement from the Mayor be forwarded to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing with a copy of this resolution and further, that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the President of Canadian Foresters' Project (Eastern) Group.
