The Mayor called the meeting to order and led in prayer. Present Were: Mayor G. B. Rickard Councillor A. Cowman Councillor D. Hamre Councillor I.M. Hobbs, until 12:15 p.m. Councillor R. B. "CARRIED" Angela Dejong, Student Placement Officer, Canada Employment Centre, spoke to Council. She said there were 300 students looking for employment. She asked that Council spread the word that these students were available for any kind of work. She asked that June 18 - 22, 1984, be proclaimed "Hire a Student Week."
