held on Monday, September 9, 1985, at
9:30 a.m., in Court Room H2.

THAT the Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council
held on Monday July 22, 1985, be approved as read, subject to
Counci llor Taylor being added to the Roll Call under "Present."

THAT the Minutes of July 22, 1985, be amended by deleting the

Meeting" and the following substituted therefore:

communication.

$3,434.00 representing the Ministry's contribution
towards the cost of the energy conservation project at
the Newcastle Memorial Arena be received for information.

with Ontario Hydro (Amendment No.5).

THAT the request of Hugh Laing to unveil a small sign on
Carlisle Avenue, to commemorate its construction by Goodyear
to be done by Mr. Carlisle, son of the first plant manager,
on SAturday, September 14, 1985, be approved; and
THAT the Mayor prepare a report for the next General Purpose
and Administration Committee Meeting.

THAT Councillor Cowman, Liaison person for the Clerk's
Department, and David Oakes, Clerk, arrange to have
refreshments at the Town Hall Council Library, for

Goodyear parade on Saturday, September 14th 1985; and
THAT up to $1,000.00 be expended from the Receptions
and Tributes Account.
