The Mayor called the meeting to order and
led in prayer.

Administrative Officer for comments;

THAT the recommendations in Report TR-37-85 be endorsed; and
1. Receive this report; and
2. That the By-law Enforcement - Travel & Expense Account
7104-232-X-3 be increased to $1,700; and
3. That the additional $1,000 for this budget re-
allocation be drawn from the Contingency Account
7007-298-X-9.

By-laws
.
THAT the recommendations in Report CS-12-85 be endorsed; and
1. That Report CS-12-85 be received; and
2. That Council authorize participation in the Municipal
Energy Audit Program including authorizing staff to:
(a) submit a detailed proposal for funding to the
Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing for the
MEAP Program ;
(b) tender for an independent auditor pending grant
approval using the terms of reference attached; and
3. That Council authorize funds from account 7007-X-298-9
to a maximum of $5,000 to cover the Town's portion of the
project subject to Ministry approval.

THAT the recommendations in Report PD-90-85 be endorsed; and
1. That Report PD-90-85 be received; and
2. That the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) be
allocated from Account 7702-0247 to cover the
unbudgeted costs of exercising the Town's purchase
option for the Planning Department's Word Processor; and
3. That the Planning Department be authorized to lease
a second word processor utilizing presently budgeted
funds for word processor leasing.

THAT leave be granted to introduce the following by-laws,
and that the said by-laws be now read a first time:
85-62 being a by-law to dedicate certain lands as a Public
Highway in the Town of Newcastle (Lakeshore Road
and the Road Allowance Between Lots 24 and 25, Clarke);
85-69 being a by-law to amend By-law 84-63, as amended, of the
Town of Newcastle (464367 Ontario Limited);

the Comprehensive Zoning By-law of the Corporation
of the Town of Newcastle (P. Pisani);
85-71 being a by-law to dedicate certain lands as a
Public Highway in the Town of Newcastle (1. Rosalynn
Crescent - 2. Rhonda Boulevard).

of the Town of Newcastle, at this meeting held on the
27th day of May 1985, and that the said by-law be now
read a first time.
