on Friday, March 29, 1985 at 11:10 a.m. in
Courtroom H 2.

Councillor E.R. Woodyard (ill)
Also Present: Chief Administrative Officer, D. Johnston
Town Clerk, D.W. Oakes
Resolution HC-191-85
Moved by Councillor Taylor, seconded by Councillor Hobbs
1. THAT Council receive Administrators Confidential Report
Admin 23-85; and
2. Adopt the attached by-law iind Schedule "A" being a by-law to
appoint Mr. Jan Devantier as Director of Community Services,
effective May 6th 1985; and
3. Approve the municipality's assumption of reasonable moving
expenses of Mr. Devantier and his family from Niagara-on-the-
Lake to the Town of Newcastle; and
4. Support Mr. Devantier in his continued involvement with
S.D.M.R.O. ;
5. Forward a copy of the certified by-law as adopted by Council
to Mr. Devantier together with a congratulatory letter
welcoming him to the Town.

THAT Council receive Administrator's Confidential Report
Admin 22-85; and
Adopt the attached by-law appointing Rosemary E. Rutledge to the
position of Deputy Clerk in accordance with the terms and conditions
outlined in Schedule "A" to the said by-law.

THAT leave be granted to introduce By-law 85-33 being a by-law
to appoint a Director of Community Services, and that the said
by-law be now read a first time.

THAT the second reading of By-law 85-33 be approved.
