A speci~l meeting of the BowmGnville Town Council was held
at 11: 20 P.M. on the above mentioned date, Town Hall, Bovrnanville
All members present.
Mayor W. Carruthers in the chair.
By~Laws First and Second Reading
Moved by Councillor K. Nicks,
Seconded by Councillor A. Sturrock,
And resolved th~t thE mover be granted leave to introduce a
supplementary by-law authorizing the expenditure of $42,500.00
on Roads & Streets and said by-law be now read a first and
second time. Carried.
Moved by Councillor K. Nicks,
Seconded by Councillor O. J. Prssson,
And resolved thet the mover b~ granted leave to introduce a by-law
to prohibit the breaking up of any roadwqy within the limits of
the Corporation without first obtaining a permit and the said
by-law be now read ~ flrst and second time.

And resolved that Council now rise and go into the Committ'2e of
the "Ihole for the consideration of two by-laws and Mayor in the
chair.
Moved by Councillor K. Lathangue,
Seconded by Councillor K. Nicks,
And resolvsd that the Committee now rise 3-nd report favourably
to Council on the following by-laws discuss~d in the Committ~e
of the Whole.
1. Road &: Streets Supplementary by-law.

2. to prohibit the breaking up of streets without a permit.

And resolved that the supplement~ry by-law to authorize the
expenditure of $42,500.00 on Roads & Streets be now read a
third time, passed and be numbersd by-law number 1722.
Moved by Councillor K. Nicks,
Seconded by Councillor O. J. Presson,
And resolved that the by-law to prohibit the breaking up of any
roadway without first obtaining a per'Jit be now read a third
timE) finally passed and be numbered by"law nu;nber 1723.

Seconded by Councillor I. Hobbs,
That this meoting be adjourned at 11:35 P.M.
