HomeMy WebLinkAbout09/06/1960 (Special) e . . . . ,fl; A Special meeting of the Bowmanville Town Council was held on Tuesday, September 6th, at $:00 p.m. Mayor Carruthers in the Chair. Con. K. Nicks absent. All others present. Moved by Con. Hughes, Seconded by Con. Presson, That the TOIm install servi CE~S consisting of watermains, sewer, a ne,,, bridge, and improving the Base Line Road from Liberty Street to a point approximately 300 feet east of Simpson Avenue road allowance, as advocated by the submission of the Bowmanville Development Association, subject to thll following conditions: 1. That the Bowmanville Development Association form a limited company which must give written undertilking to the To,m to finance building for incoming industry if such a building is required by industry locating on the property; and this company may be permitted to purchase part of this property on condition that it will immed- iately construct a building or buildings that can be offered for sale or rent to industry at attractive prices. 2. That those) persons or companies offering lillld for sille to industry at a fixed price for il period of years must ~ive a written undertaking to the Town which must be registered in the negistry Office as an entail against the land. 3. That the land north of the Base Line to which these services are brought and Hhich is now zoned as rural must be re-zoned as industrial. 4. That the cost to the To,m of supplying these services will be within a reasonable range of approximately (~50,000. estimate of the Bo~aanville Development Association and the Clerk be given the authority to secure Engineers estimated cost re: sewer, water and bridge to service this property. The land referred to in this resolution consists of those tracts presently owned by Bowbrook Investments Ltd., and GlenRae Dairy, Proctor & Redfern Drawing No. 7B-920.
