A special meeting of the ilovnanville Tm~1l. Council was held
on June 29th, at 12:05 a.m.

Councillors Presson, Nicks and Reeve Little absent.
All otl1ers present.
Moved by Deputy-Reeve Hobbs,
Seconded by Councillor Lathangue,
Whereas the Board of Trustees of the Durham County
District has applied to the fiunicipal Councils having
jurisdiction in the said District for the issue of deb-
~ntures in a firm amount of $700,000.00 repayable over
a period of twenty years, to provide for the cost of
constructi.on of a 5lJO pupil school in Courtice.

Be it resolved that the Council of the Corporation
of The, ~o':n of 30\'r1'1nvil18 boiw a : unicipnlity included
in the -:S-ald District, hereby appl'oves the said appl:LC-
ation and agrees to assume its proper proportion of the
amounts required to pay for said debentures interest
thereon and the expenses connected thermvi th, by the
Secondary Schools and Boards of ~ducation Act.
313 it further resolved that the Council of the
Corporation of The T,.\ of Bowman-;i].2.e h'ereby requests
the Council of the Coi::-poration -01' the United Counties
of ;'Jorthumberland and Durham to raise the entire sum
of $700,000.00 required for the purposes aforesaid by
the issue of debentures of the Corporation of the
United Counties of !Jo;'thumberlrmd and Durh;nl.
