REPORT III
Mayor Rickard and Members of Council:-
The following is a report of the meeting of the Planning and Development
Committee held on February 2, 1981:
1. Durham Official Plan - Sections 3 and 16.10
It was recommended to Council that the Region of Durham be advised that the
Town of Newcastle has no objection to revised policy sections 2 and 16.10
of the Durham Regional Official Plan as attached to Regional Planning
Commissioner's Report No. 80-267.
2. Planning Process Meetings
Report P-25-8l relative to meetings in connection with the 'Planning Process' was
received for information and discussion.
3. O.P.A. Section 8.1.2.1 Regional Plan - 80-55/D
It was recommended to Council that the Region of Durham be advised that the
Town of Newcastle has no objection to proposed Official Plan Amendment 80-55/D.
4. O.P.A. Durham Plan - 80-56/D
It was recommended to Council that:
1) Report P-27-8l be received
2) The Region of Durham be forwarded a copy of staff report P-27-8l.
3) The Region of Durham be advised that the Town of Newcastle has
no objection to proposed official Plan Amendment 80-56/D,
4) Council request the opportunity to review the proposed
amendment as it relates to the present Durham Regional Official Plan.
5. By-law 3-81 - Township of Scugog
It was recommended to Council that By~law 3-81 of the Township of Scugog be
received and filed.
6.
Zoning Z-A-1-7-4 - Subdivision l8T-77002
D R Agencies
It was recommended to Council that copies of the letters from Dost and Ayesha Awan
and Charles William Mellon and Carol Ann Minshell, withdrawing their objections to
by-law 80-137 and Report P-3l-8l relative to Rezoning Z-A-1-7-4 and Draft Plan
of Subdivision l8T-77002, DR Agencies, be received for information.
