Strike, outlining councils position in respect to the sale of Centre Street, now closed, as follows: IT In view of the course of events surrounding the passinf!: of this by-law and subsequently, we are of the opinion that the Town is not in a position to convey the property to Mr. Turner as he requests because proper notice was not given to Mrs. Anderson and she given a fair chance to purchase her one-half share. As her offer to purchase is now before Council it should be dealt with on that basis. IT . Moved by Councillor Stevens and seconded bv Councillor Fice. ThAT: In accordance \-lith the Solictor'! s letter dated lIay 29th, 1961, the Clerk be instructed to effect necessary pro- cedure to offer the closed Centre Street Road Allowance to the adjoining propert v owners.
