A special meeting of BO"l'1anville Town Council was convened
at 10:15 p.m. with His~Jorship IVlayor Carruthers in the chair.
All present except aeeve Little, Councillors Presson & Nicks.

A letter was received from the T01;;n'sSolicitor :'lr. A.
Strike, outlining councils position in respect to the
sale of Centre Street, now closed, as follows:
IT In view of the course of events surrounding the passinf!:
of this by-law and subsequently, we are of the opinion that
the Town is not in a position to convey the property to
Mr. Turner as he requests because proper notice was not
given to Mrs. Anderson and she given a fair chance to
purchase her one-half share. As her offer to purchase
is now before Council it should be dealt with on that
basis. IT

Moved by Councillor Stevens and seconded bv Councillor Fice.
ThAT: In accordance \-lith the Solictor'! s letter dated lIay 29th,
1961, the Clerk be instructed to effect necessary pro-
cedure to offer the closed Centre Street Road Allowance
to the adjoining propert v owners. " Carried. IT

Councils direction to register the conveyance from Downham
to the Town to carry out the original agree"!l'mt between
Downham and the Town whereby the Old F'rank Street was
closed and a new one given so as to facilitate the Downham
Company sale of lots on the South Side of King Street.

THAT: The Town Solicitor be authorized and instructed to
register the deed of the nevi Frank Street, being 66
feet in width and leading SoutJ,erly from King Street
between the Brewer's Retail and Dominion Store Dro-
perties to Frank Street as shown on Plan 629. "
