Fanning Resolution #C-575-83 Moved by Councillor Hamre, seconded by Councillor Hobbs THAT the minutes of a regular meeting of Council held on July 11, 1983, be approved as read. "CARRIED" Mrs. Lover addressed Council relative to the Municipal Parking Lot in the Village of Newcastle. She thanked Council for their attention to the problem and said that her questions had been answered. Mr. W. Lawrence asked if it was possible to obtain a licence to operate a Chip Truck in Newcastle. He stated that he has a licence for the City of Oshawa but had found it necessary to move his truck to the Town of Newcastle. Mr. W. Klose addressed Council relative to an Official Plan Amendment 83-4/D for Orono Exotic Cat Sanctuary. He said that he was surprised that Council had not supported the application. He felt that it was because of objections by his neighbours. He said that he had approached all of his immediate neighbours and they had expressed approval in writing. He presented comparisons between his set-up and similar set-ups in zoos. He asked Council to give further consideration to his application. Council Minutes . Mr. R. Rice, Ridge Pine Park Inc. re Sign By-law Bob Carruthers re One-Foot Reserve Recess . COMMUNICATIONS Memorial Park Pool Bowma nv ill e . - 2 - July 25, 1983 Mr. Rod Rice of Ridge Pine Park Inc., addressed Council relative to an amendment to the Sign By-law, to permit directional and other signs on their property and Municipal Road Allowances. He was in agreement with the proposed amendment in Report PD-I09-83, but asked for an additional amendment to permit a site identification sign 10' high x 24' wide, located 100' east of the cul-de-sac on lands owned by Ridge Pine Park. He showed illustrations of the proposed signs. Mr. Carruthers was present at this time and spoke to Council, relative to a one-foot reserve imposed as a condition of the Land Division Committee Severance. He asked Council accept one-foot reserve and return it when Severance is completed or send a letter to the Land Division Committee asking this be removed as a condition of the Severance.
