Roll Call Present Were: Mayor G. B. Rickard, at 9:55 a.m. Councillor K. Barr Councillor A. Cowman, at 9:35 a.m. Councillor D. Hamre Councillor I. Hobbs Councillor M. Hubbard Councillor R. B. Dupuis Director of Community Services, T. A. Fanning Acting Mayor Barr called the meeting to order and asked Councillor Taylor to lead in prayer. "CARRIED" Councillor Hamre declared a Conflict of Interest in the previous correspondence and refrained from voting and discussion. Taylor, for consideration to fill the vacancy on the Executive Committee of the Rural Section (R.O.M.A.) of the A.M.a. "CARR! "CARRIED AS AMENDED" Resolution #C-13-83 Moved by Councillor Cowman, seconded by Councillor Barr THAT the Treasurer credit the debit of $300 to the appropriate account (7611) out of the 1982 budget. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-14-83 Moved by Councillor Cowman, seconded by Councillor Hamre THAT leave be granted to introduce the following by-laws, and the said by-laws now be read a first time: 83-1 being a by-law to authorize the entering into of an amending agreement with G. Koutroumpelis and B. Arhitektonidis; 83-2 being a by-law to stop-up and close and to authorize the sale of all of Victoria Street, lying between Blocks F and G and all that portion of an unnamed street easterly adjacent to Block F, Victoria Street and Block G, all according to C.G. Adjournment . - 6 - January 10, 1983 Resolution #C-19-83 Moved by Councillor Hubbard, seconded by Councillor Hamre THAT an additional $1,580 be allocated to the Town Hall Renovation Project from the Administrative Improvement Reserve Fund for the purpose of painting the ceilings in the downstairs offices. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-20-83 Moved by Councillor Cowman, seconded by Councillor Hamre THAT leave be granted to introduce By-law No. 83-9, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of the Council of the Town of Newcastle at this meeting held on Thursday, December 23, 1982, at 9:30 a.m., in Court Room #2; THAT leave be granted to introduce By-law No. 83-10, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of the Council of the Town of Newcastle at this meeting held on the 10th day of January 1983, and that the said by-laws be now read a first time.
