Minutes of a Special Meeting of Council
held on Thursday, September 9, 1982 at
9:42 A.M. in Court Room #2.
Present Were: Mayor G. B. Rickard

THAT Council go into Committee of the Whole to consider
report TR-48-82.

THAT staff be directed to; arrange for the conversion of
the furnace in Town Hall to gas service, the insulation of
the ceiling to R20, the repair of the roof, and the
installation of a zone heating system including a thermostat
on the second floor.

THAT thermal windows and air conditioning be installed in
the downstairs of Town Hall and further that the external
painted areas be pre-conditioned and painted.

"THAT any funds left after the Town Hall projects be allocated
to the Hampton Hall, the Newcastle ,Arena, the Orono Town Hall
for external painting, and the Memdrial Park parking lot,
and that staff be authorized to proceed with those projects
and further,
THAT the C.A.O. and Director of Public Works be authorized to
use any remaining balance of the Employment Incentive grant
funds for labour intensive projects in the Public Works
Department. "

"THAT the cost of materials for theTown Hall projects
undertaken through the Ontario Employment Incentives Grant
be drawn from the Administrative Facilities Reserve Account
and that any other expenses for materials be taken from within
the 1982 budget."
