Minutes of a Special Meeting of Council
held on May 31 1982 at 3:20 p.m. in
Court Room #2, for the purpose of
discussing the rezoning of the Registry
Office Property.
Present were:
Mayor G. B. Rickard
Councillor Marie Hubbard
Councillor Maurice Prout
Councillor R. Bruce Taylor
Councillor E. R. Woodyard
Deputy Clerk, Gertrude Gray
Absent:
Councillor Ann Cowman
Councillor Diane Hamre
Also Present:
Chief Administrative Officer, Don Smith
Mayor Rickard reported that all members of Council had
been advised of the meeting and were in agreement.
Resolution #C-451-82
Moved by Councillor Prout seconded by Councillor Taylor
THAT the Town of Newcastle hereby advises the Region of
Durham that the Town will include a clause in the development
agreement with the Canadian Order of Foresters to require the
Foresters to pay all Regional development levies applicable
to the proposed Senior Citizens' building.
