SPECIAL MEETmG July 13th, 1972 Minutes of a special meeting of Council held on July 13th, 1972, at 8:00 p.m. in the Committee Room in the Town Hall. Present: Mayor Deputy Reeve Councillor Ivan M. Hobbs George Stephen Donald W. Allin Mrs. Olive Cobban Maurice Prout Kenneth Hooper Robert Dykstra James Bell E. Derry Hubbard Absent: Reeve Councillor Councillor Resolution *c-537-72 Moved by Con. Hooper, seconded by Con. Cobban. THAT the minutes of the Committee of the Whole meeting on July 13th, 1972, be approved. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-538-72 Moved by Con. Hooper, seconded by Con. Prout. THAT tenders be called for Council meeting on August 8th, 1972, for sanitary sewer, watennain and roadway as provided by By-Laws No. 70-31 and 70-32. "CARRIED" Resolution *C-539-72 Moved by Con. Hooper, seconded by Con. Prout. THAT the Town Engineer be requested to use surplus fill to improve the road condition and that his Department also be instructed to keep the snow pushed back in Winter time. THAT leave be granted to introduce By-Law No. 72-35, being a by-law to authorise the sale of lands to Bowmanville Warehousing Ltd. for the establishment of industry and that the said by-law be now read a first time. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-543-72 Moved by Con. Prout, seconded by Deputy Reeve Stephen. THAT the second reading of By-Law No. 72-35, be approved. "CARRIED" NOTE: A third reading and final passing of this By-law requires a vote in excess of three quarters of all the members of Council (i.e. 7 members) Resolution #C-544-72 Moved by Con. Prout, seconded by Deputy Reeve Stephen. THAT special consideration be given for the cars of visitors to the Museum parking on Wellington Street. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-545-72 Moved by Con.
