TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
September 30, 1974
Minutes of a Special Meeting of Council held
in the Committee Room at Bowmanville Town Hall
on Monday, September 30, 1974, at 5 p.m.
All members were present and Mayor Rickard was
in the Chair.

Moved by Con. Entwisle, seconded by Con. Wearn
THAT WHEREAS Council did approve the work program for a Housing
Action study on August 12, 1974,
AND WHEREAS the Ministry of Housing have indicated their approval
of the work program and promised grants of $100,000. in their current
fiscal year and consideration of a grant of a further $30,000. grant
in their next fiscal year
AND \~EREAS Murray V. Jones and Associates have provided breakdowns
which will enable the Town to institute budgetary control on the
study work
THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED that Murray V. Jones and Associates will
proceed immediately with the work detailed in their Terms of
Reference revised to August 13th, 1974, under the surveillance of
the Technical Advisory Committee duly appointed by Council and
budgetary controls to be instituted by the Treasurer.

THAT the Fire Chief's Report presented to Finance Committee
(See Resolution #F-620-74) on September 30th, 1974, be adopted
and the relative notices be placed in the four local papers.
