Mayor Rickard called the meeting to order and led the Council in prayer. All Herabero of Council "ere present. Resolution #C-74-831 Moved by Con. Hobbs, seconded by Con. Allin. THAT the Council minutes dated July 15th, 1974, be approved as printed. "CARRIED" trr. E. R. Lovekin appeared before Council on behalf of Rice Construction relative to the Retirement Home Park Development. Mr. Lovekin also introduced various people including, Mr. George Burton, Mrs. Thorpe, j-rr. Corey, Mr. Pinkirton, and Mr. L. Rice who spoke on behalf of the Development. Mr. Roger Carr also appeared before Council relative to the Durham Retirement Park Project. Resolution #C-74-832 Moved by Con. Lyall, seconded by Con. Entwisle. THAT Item No.3 of the Planning"Advisory Committee Report regarding Amendment No. 1 of the Clarke TOlffiship Official Plan, be considered at this time. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-74-833 Moved by Con. THAT whereas the Hunicipal Planning Consultants, our Staff Planner, Mr. Hm1den, and the Planning Advisory Committee have recommended against Amendment No. I to the draft Official Plan of the former Township of Clarke and that leave be granted to introduce By-Law No. 74-58 being a by-lal1 to repeal By-Law No. 1764 of the former Township of Clarke passed on the 19th day of December, 1973. Black appeaxed before Council regarding a buildin3 permit for Lot 28, Concession 4, former Clarke TOI'ffiship. lie indicated that the Building Inspector ,rould not issue a permit while his present home io still standing and he ,.Tishes to live in his home until his nm./ house is built.
