Strike re Courtice Development - 3 - November 3rd, 1975 Resolution #e-75-1239 Moved by Con. Hobbs, seconded by Con. Cowman. THAT the Town Clerk's Report dated November 3rd, 1975 advising of meetings of the Royal Commission of Electric Power Planning be received for information. "CARRIED" Mr. Brian Purdy appeared before Council and made a presentation regarding the need for more practice time for the team in Bowmanville Minor lbckey Association. Strike appeared before Council to repl'eGCtU:. Courtice development proposal regarding the Courtice l~ights Developments. Mr. McPherson, Planner of the Development, also spoke. Mr. Strike requested the approval in principle and that the Regional Planning Department advised. Resolution 1e-75-1241 MMved by Con. Cowman, seconded by Con. Entwisle. THAT this alternative plan for Courtice be forwarded to the Commissioner of Planning of Durham Region with the request that it be given detailed consideration with other proposals; AND THAT the Regional Planning Staff be reminded that it is the wish of this Council that all plans for Courtice, Bowmanville and the Village of Newcastle be considered without prejudice, their guide lines only to be the benefits to the Communities of today and tomorrow. Moffatt, M.P.P., appeared before Council on behalf of Mr. Liptay and pointed out that By-Law No. 75-79 passed on October 6th, 1975 "lOuld probably not be approved by the Ontario Municipal Board in its present form.
