"CARRIED" Councillor Lyall stated that in his opinion Resolutions C-75-937 and c-75-969 which dealt with the O.M.B. Hearing re Milford were contrary motions. The Chair ruled that they were not contrary motions and Councillr>r Lyall challenged the Chair. . . . THAT the Mayor report on the well situation at Darlington Arena at this time. "MOTION LOST" Mr. G.E. Manger appeared before Council to enquire as to why he was refused an entrance permit for his property on Lot 5, Concession 8 (Clarke). He stated that Mr. Kemp and Mr. McQueen had been issued with permits on the same road allowance. He also stated that he would help to finance any necessary road construction. THAT as Mr. Woodley was not present his letter (No. 7 on Correspondence) be tabled to next meeting. "CARRIED" Mr. Sam Gust of 138 Queen Street, Bowmanville appeared before Council relative to Hr. Henry Urbanowicz's application for a permit to build a house on Lot 94 on Scugog Street in Hampton. He stated that a permit was refused as the green belt runs through the property. Resolution #C-75-984 Moved by Con. Hobbs, seconded by Con. Cowman. THAT the matter be referred to the Committee of the Whole and the Chief Building Inspector be requested to explain details. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-75-985 Hoved by Con. Hobbs, seconded by Con. Tink. THAT Mr. Max Rice be heard relative to the Mobile Home Project at Wilmot Creek. "CARRIED" }k. THAT the concept at Wilmot Creek Cove, as submitted by Mr. Rice be approved in principle. THAT Resolution #C-75-986 be amended to provide an amendment to the Draft Official Interim Plan of Newcastle and a site plan agreement be prepared and that the Town Solicitor be authorised and directed to negotiate with Ridge Pine Park Limi ted and any member of the Town Staff in the preparation of these documents for presentation for Councils approval. Ste>lart in Lot 10, Concession 4 (Darlington). The fill >las for the reconstruction of Liberty Street under a Regional contract and the property would be restored in accordance with the Ministry of Natural Resources requirements. THAT the Council of the Town of Newcastle does not approve of a franchise to extend the Consumers Gas service in the Town of Newcastle. "CARRIED" Mayor Rickard outlined the history of the problems relating to the digging of wells for the Darlington Sports Centre. He advised that there would be a meeting with the architect and engineers on Wednesday, September 10th at the Sports Centre to discuss the problem. Resolution #C-75-1000 Moved by Con.
